Argyle Tennis Coaches bring a wealth of experience to the Club, and provide a comprehensive inclusive coaching programme, catering for all standards, ages, individuals and groups.
Both Coaches are LTA Licensed and Accredited, and provide individual and group lessons.
Terry Parkes
Terry has been involved in both Southport and Lancashire tennis for many years. He knows and understands the sport from a parental viewpoint in addition to that of a well respected coach. His two sons were leading junior and senior county players and coaches.
As a member of the Tennis Lancashire Executive Committee, Terry represents the interests of coaches across Lancashire, and in 2016 was honoured to be the President of Tennis Lancashire.
In 2009 Terry was voted the Lancashire Tennis Coach of the Year for his work as the Sports Partnership Community Tennis Coach, in addition to evolving and running the Southport & District Junior leagues and tournament, whilst providing his coaching experience at Argyle Tennis Club.

Joanna Donnelly
Joanna joined the Argyle coaching team as a highly respected player and coach.
As a County and Regional Junior player, Joanna made a natural transition into Tennis Coaching.
Her work and enthusiasm at Argyle Tennis Club has brought many accolades, including being highly commended as the Sports Coach of the year at the Sefton Sports Awards in 2012. No mean feat in being recognised across all sports.
It is no coincidence, that with Joanna’s experience, Argyle has seen a high proportion of female players commence their tennis journey at the club, where other clubs have struggled to attract female players.
