Argyle has always had an active Table Tennis section to complement the main Tennis action.

In recent years we have benefitted from a sports grant resulting in a new hall which is amongst the best in the town, and constructed specifically with the sport in mind.

The Table Tennis section is around 40 strong, with members of mixed abilities playing in one of the many teams that we enter in the Southport and District Table Tennis League. There are 3 divisions in the League, and our 1st division teams feature players who we are proud to say have won the town championships. The club boasts an inclusive approach, having a wide age range in its membership.

The Table Tennis season runs between September and April with matches taking place on weekday evenings. However, off-season the club’s facilities are still available, with many members taking the opportunity to enjoy Sunday evening practice sessions. Players are reminded that Argyle has an excellent name in the town, and they are proud to represent that good name when they play.

Players may attend a practice evening on Sundays at 7.30pm – anyone wishing to find out more about the club will be made most welcome.
